Recently, I've added historical sampling data to my studies. I visited the TNHC in Austin, TX. This amazing resource has collections of herps and fish from all across Texas. Specific to my interests, they have a vast collection of Gulf Killifish (Fundulus grandis). Combing through their collections, I was able to find fish dating back to the 1950's and up to 2016.
These samples span across the entire state of Texas for nearly 60 years, giving us a fantastic time series body shape data as F. grandis are introduced to novel freshwater habitats. Analysis is still underway, as managing and working with >2000 photos is quite time-consuming.
